Payments to the military will increase: Zelensky ordered to review the amount of funding

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has identified funding for national security and defense as the top priority of budget policy for the next three years.
The relevant decree has already been published on the President’s website. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".
The document states that when formulating budgets for 2026, 2027, and 2028, the government should provide for an increase in funding for the security and defense sector. This decision was made after considering the proposals to the Budget Declaration.
The decree pays special attention to the financial support of the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the police, and other representatives of law enforcement agencies. The President instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to work out mechanisms to increase payments, taking into account both the socio-economic situation and the military-political situation.
In particular, it is envisaged to improve the system of social payments received by military personnel, police officers and representatives of other formations that ensure the defense of the state.
