Starting in 2025, Ukrainians will undergo military training: who is affected

Starting in 2025, all men aged 18-25 will have to undergo basic military training. This was stated by Ivan Tymochko, chairman of the Council of Reservists of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during a national telethon on November 29, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
He emphasized that this is not mobilization, but “basic training for everyone.” First and foremost, students of national institutes and universities will undergo such training.
“To prepare citizens aged 18 to 25 or to give them basic or professional training – this is what must be done. This is something that will start on January 1, when, first of all, students and then the entire male population aged 18 to 25 will receive basic and vocational training,” said Tymochko.
The head of the Army Reservists Council added that such basic military training will teach people how to use weapons and help them choose a specialty in the army if they are later mobilized.
“To know how the army lives and breathes, to make most of the fears disappear and to have a trained population at the same time. This will be the right approach,” the soldier summarized.
