President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has proposed to the Verkhovna Rada to extend martial law and mobilisation. The relevant bills have been registered on the parliament’s website, reports "Komersant Ukrainian"
It is proposed to extend martial law and mobilisation from 10 November for 90 days, i.e. until 7 February 2025.
On the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion, Ukraine imposed martial law throughout the country. General mobilisation was also announced.
If the Rada supports the proposals of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, this will be the thirteenth time since the full-scale invasion.
Thus, as of the beginning of February 2025, general mobilisation and martial law will last for almost three years.
Martial law is a special legal regime that is necessary for the authorities and the military to have broader powers to defend the country from the enemy. The mobilisation is aimed at recruiting people liable for military service to the Defence Forces.
Meanwhile, the National Council calls on the media to correctly cover mobilisation and the activities of the CCC, and the Land Forces warned of the initiation of cases for fakes about mobilisation and the CCC.

Law on mobilisation
on 18 May, the law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Certain Issues of Military Service, Mobilisation and Military Registration”, known as the “mobilisation law”, came into force in Ukraine.
It states that citizens between the ages of 25 and 60 are subject to mobilisation.
During mobilisation, men between the ages of 18 and 60 are required to carry their military registration document with them at all times and present it at the request of a representative of the military registration and enlistment office or a police officer or border guard.
Persons liable for military service also had until 16 July to update their current residential address, contact details and other military registration data.
