The Armed Forces of Ukraine received the “Ptashka” drone: what is its strike range?

Ukraine has officially adopted a new domestically produced strike quadcopter called “Ptashka” (Bird). This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to the ministry, the drone is capable of striking targets at a distance of up to 50 kilometers. This is the longest range among quadcopters of this type used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Fiber optic control
One of the key features of the drone is its fiber optic control channel. This technology allows it to maintain stable communication with the operator even in conditions of active radio-electronic jamming.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense notes that the drone is designed to operate in conditions of intense combat. It can perform tasks in various weather conditions, as well as operate both day and night.
Designed for tough conditions
The quadcopter has a reinforced composite frame, powerful electric motors, and propellers. The battery pack is divided into sections to ensure stable operation during flight.
The design of the aircraft is also balanced for performing complex maneuvers in the air, which is important during attacks or when avoiding obstacles.
What it is used for
The drone’s combat payload allows it to engage a wide range of targets on the battlefield. These include infantry, firing positions, dugouts, vehicles, and light armored vehicles.
The active use of drones has become one of the key elements of modern warfare. In recent years, Ukraine has been actively increasing its own production of such systems in order to reduce its dependence on imports and to adapt the equipment to the conditions of the front line more quickly.
