Where there is no power on May 11

According to the Ministry of Energy, temporary power outages are occurring in five regions of Ukraine as a result of hostilities.

These are:

  • Dnipropetrovsk region;
  • Donetsk region;
  • Sumy region;
  • Kherson region;
  • Kharkiv Oblast.

In these regions, some consumers remain without electricity due to the consequences of Russian attacks and damage to energy infrastructure.

What the Ministry of Energy is saying

The Ministry of Energy notes that emergency repair work is ongoing around the clock. Energy workers are working in an intensified mode to restore power to all customers as quickly as possible.

These power outages are localized and are not related to scheduled maintenance but rather to the consequences of hostilities.

Will there be power outages on May 11

The Ministry of Energy emphasized that no electricity consumption restrictions are expected on May 11.

Similarly, NPC “Ukrenergo” reported that no electricity consumption restrictions are planned for Monday, May 11.

In other words, this does not refer to nationwide power outage schedules, but rather to emergency power outages in frontline regions and areas affected by shelling.

Where to check information about power

The Ministry of Energy urged Ukrainians to monitor information about possible changes in electricity supply on the official websites of their regional power companies. That is where up-to-date information regarding emergency repairs, local power outages, and the estimated time for power restoration is published.

Consumers are also asked to use electricity sparingly during peak hours—in the morning and evening. This helps reduce the load on the power grid.

Why the power grid needs energy conservation

Although no electricity restrictions are expected on May 11, the Ukrainian power grid continues to operate under wartime conditions and the constant threat of shelling.

Conserving electricity during peak hours helps power companies balance the system and reduces the risk of additional strain on the grid. This is especially important in regions where fighting is ongoing or where power facilities have recently been damaged.
