Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk announced that he is vacating all of his heavyweight championship belts. At the same time, the athlete stated that he is not retiring and plans to fight one more time. He announced this on social media, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

In a video, the boxer announced his decision to vacate all of his heavyweight championship belts.

According to Usyk, he made this decision to give other contenders the opportunity to compete for the titles.

“The guys waiting in line for them need to get in the ring,” the boxer explained.

At the same time, Usyk emphasized that he is not ending his professional career. According to him, his “last dance”—his final fight—still lies ahead.

The athlete also noted that he views this step as the beginning of a new phase.

“This is a conscious decision that, I am sure, will open up new opportunities for me. This is not the end of the story. The story continues,” the boxer said.

The bout took place outdoors near the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. At stake were the WBC heavyweight title, as well as The Ring belt and the special “King of the Nile” belt.
