The “ceasefire” was violated on the very first night
The nighttime attack constituted a de facto violation of the ceasefire that Ukraine had declared starting at 12:00 a.m. on May 6. Russia deployed over a hundred aerial attack assets, including missiles and drones.
The Air Force detected drones in the Kharkiv region and heading toward the regional center, Pavlohrad, Kryvyi Rih, and the Odesa region, as well as guided airstrikes toward the Donetsk region, Zaporizhzhia region, and the regional center.
On the morning of May 6, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that a fire broke out after a “suicide drone” struck a private home in the Novobavarskyi district. In total, seven private homes were damaged, and one person was injured (acute stress reaction).
Another strike hit the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city.
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that the Russians attacked an industrial infrastructure facility in the morning. There were no casualties.

Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, reported a morning attack on the city and the district, which damaged infrastructure (no casualties).
In the first minutes after midnight, public groups in Dnipro also reported explosions.
Given the number of targets struck, this was not a series of isolated incidents but a large-scale combined attack.
