What is known about the new attack on Cherkasy

According to the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, it was a difficult night for the region, as the area once again became a target for Russian strike drones. Several enemy targets were reported to have fallen in various locations across the regional capital.

Three people are reported to have been injured. Emergency services are on the scene, and authorities have promised to provide more detailed information about the attack’s consequences later.

How many people were injured

As of the first official reports following the attack, there were at least three casualties. This figure is preliminary, so the number of injured may be revised in the future.

What preceded the new strike

The new attack on Cherkasy occurred less than 24 hours after the previous Russian strike on the city. On the evening of April 14, an 8-year-old boy was killed in a drone attack in Cherkasy, and the number of casualties, according to the State Emergency Service and media reports, rose to 14 people, including a child. It was also reported at the time that at least four high-rise buildings were damaged.

This is precisely why the new strike on Cherkasy is particularly alarming, as the city has once again come under a massive attack by Russia almost immediately following the previous tragedy.

What is the situation in the city now

Emergency services continue to respond following the new drone attack in Cherkasy. The Regional Military Administration is providing updates on the damage, and residents are being urged, as usual, not to ignore air raid sirens
