Ukraine has started mobilizing “reservists” to the front: how and why it happened

TCCs may fail to make a legal “reservation” in the Oberig system, which is why a person is mobilized. MP Oleksandr Fediyenko spoke about one such case on his Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

The parliamentarian published the document and gave an example of an employee who was allegedly mobilized despite having a valid reservation for mobilization.

“I received a response regarding the mobilization of a booked employee. That is, it is now possible to cancel the deferment of an employee of a critical enterprise without even noticing that he was booked. The problem with this whole story is that now it is impossible to demobilize such a person,” Fediyenko wrote.

The MP added that in such cases, the company loses a critical employee. And the entire reservation system is trusted by enterprises that book critical workers within the framework of the current legislation.

“You can offer a salary of even a hundred thousand, but you will not be able to protect your employee from further mobilization,” Fediyenko summarized.

The MP also wrote on his Telegram channel about another example. It was about a telecom operator from Zakarpattia region. Despite the fact that he had been booked by ATRACOM, the man was taken to serve.

“Here I have another case. When a person liable for military service has an official, legal reservation, but the staff of the recruitment center did not enter this reservation into the system of amulets. And I understand that the orders of the Ministry of Economy are certainly not orders for them. Thus, the telecom operator’s specialist was mobilized,” Fediyenko said.

Reservation for mobilization in Ukraine: how it works

First, the ministries and the CMA form a list of institutions that can reserve employees.

The head of an enterprise submits a list of employees he wants to reserve through the Diia portal. He or she signs the application with his or her electronic signature.

After that, the online verification of employees’ data begins. One of the conditions is that a person’s military registration data must be in the Oberig register. Also, a person liable for military service must be officially employed.

In case of a positive decision, the head of the company will receive a notification in his or her personal account on the Diia portal. In addition, the reservation data will be updated in the Reserve application.

If the decision is negative, the manager will also receive a notification in his or her personal account on the administrative services web portal.
