The project focuses primarily on the procurement of Ukrainian-made unmanned systems and electronic warfare equipment.
“The system allows units to directly submit requests for the necessary models and quantities of drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and electronic warfare equipment, as well as receive them more quickly after ordering from trusted manufacturers,” says Svyrydenko.
Economic aspects and international aid
The Ukrainian government has also approved changes to the procedure for coordinating international military aid, which will allow for the development and submission to donors of proposals, agreed upon by Ukraine, regarding the use of such funding.
The Ministry of Defense is changing its approach to UAV procurement and budget allocation: the need for drones will be determined automatically based on battlefield data, and 80% of funds will be directed exclusively toward solutions that have proven effective.
The state is allocating one billion hryvnias to partially compensate for interest on loans and leases for enterprises in the defense-industrial complex.
In 2025, enterprises of JSC “Ukrainian Defense Industry” increased the production of weapons and military equipment by one and a half times compared to the previous year.
What is DOT-Chain Defence
DOT-Chain Defence is a platform developed by the DOT Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which ensures transparency and efficiency in the procurement process for defense needs.
The system has proven its effectiveness in meeting the needs of the National Guard and is now being expanded to additional units, including the State Border Guard Service and the National Police.
