Following the Russian Federation’s attack, Vyshneve will receive more than 3 billion hryvnia: how the Cabinet of Ministers will allocate the funds

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a decision to allocate funding for the reconstruction of the city of Vyshneve in the Kyiv region, which suffered extensive damage during the Russian attack on July 6. The government plans to allocate 3.04 billion hryvnias from the state budget’s reserve fund to address the aftermath of the shelling and rebuild residential infrastructure.

Cabinet of Ministers Allocates Over 3 Billion Hryvnias for Vyshneve

The government has instructed the relevant ministries to prepare a decision to allocate 3.04 billion hryvnias from the state budget’s reserve fund.

The funds are intended to help the community quickly address the aftermath of one of the most extensive shelling attacks in the Kyiv region in recent times.

What the money will be spent on

The funding will be directed toward the immediate needs of the affected community.

Specifically, the funds will be used for:

  • paying compensation to owners of damaged and destroyed homes;
  • rebuilding homes that were completely destroyed;
  • major repairs to apartment buildings;
  • restoring utility networks and critical infrastructure.

This is expected to significantly speed up residents’ return to normal life.

Vyshneve suffered extensive damage

On the night of July 6, Russia launched a massive combined attack on Ukraine using strike drones and various types of missiles.

One of the hardest-hit towns was Vyshneve in the Kyiv region.

Earlier reports indicated that more than 200 structures in the town were damaged as a result of the attack, including over 100 residential buildings, as well as dormitories, administrative buildings, and commercial and industrial facilities.

What is known about the massive attack

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia deployed 419 air attack assets during the nighttime attack on July 6.

Ukrainian air defenses shot down 363 aerial targets.

At the same time, the following were recorded:

  • 29 ballistic missiles hit their targets;
  • 18 attack drones hitting 34 locations;
  • debris from downed drones falling at 16 locations.

It was following this attack that the government decided to allocate additional funds for the reconstruction of Vyshneve.
