Kyiv After Russia’s Overnight Strike — The State Emergency Service Released the First Footage of the Damage

Search and rescue operations are ongoing in Kyiv following a massive nighttime attack by Russia. Strikes, large-scale fires, and destruction have been reported in three districts of the capital.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing the State Emergency Service.
According to the latest data, five people were killed and another 23 were injured as a result of the Russian strike. Rescue workers documented the aftermath of the attack in the Svyatoshyn, Solomyanskyi, and Darnytskyi districts of Kyiv.
Svyatoshyn District
A Russian missile struck the grounds of an industrial facility. Rescue workers contained fires in two warehouse buildings measuring 500 and 1,000 square meters.
At another location, the fire engulfed yet another warehouse covering an area of about 500 square meters.
The body of one person was found at the site of the strike. Rescuers are working to free another person from under the rubble.
Solomyanskyi District
In a nine-story residential building, the eighth and ninth floors were destroyed. The fire spread from the seventh to the ninth floor.
In other parts of the district, the shock wave damaged windows in residential buildings and a medical facility. Cars, garages, and a store also caught fire.
The fire in the garages has already been extinguished. At another address, windows were blown out in a medical facility, and a utility room and a car caught fire. Rescuers put out the fire.
People remain trapped in two residential buildings and in a school shelter. The rescue operation is ongoing.
Darnitskyi District
In this district, a strike hit a non-residential facility. A fire broke out in storage areas and vehicles covering a total area of approximately 1,000 square meters.
Rescue workers evacuated one person from the danger zone and handed them over to medical personnel.
Units of the State Emergency Service, medical personnel, law enforcement, and utility services continue to work at the sites of the strikes. Information on the number of casualties and the final extent of the damage is being verified.
