An electrician died in Kyiv
The Ministry of Energy also reported a tragic incident in the capital.
An energy sector worker was killed while on duty as a result of a Russian drone attack on one of Kyiv’s energy facilities.
Three other power workers sustained injuries of varying severity. All of the injured have been hospitalized and are receiving the necessary medical care.
Will There Be Power Outages on July 9?
The Ministry of Energy noted that, as of July 9, no power rationing schedules are expected to be implemented.
At the same time, Ukrainians were urged to monitor announcements from their electricity distribution system operators, as the situation may change depending on security conditions.
Despite the absence of planned restrictions, energy officials recommend using electricity sparingly, especially during peak hours—in the morning and evening.
Such measures help reduce the load on the power grid and ensure its stable operation amid ongoing Russian attacks.
