Occupiers struck the port of Odessa: a foreign vessel was damaged

On the morning of May 5, the enemy launched an attack on the port of Greater Odessa. This was reported by the Association of Seaports of Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
It is reported that a civilian vessel flying the flag of the Cook Islands was damaged as a result of the attack. The crew was unharmed.
“This is yet another strike targeting civilian shipping. The port is operating while taking security risks into account, and specialized services are working to address the aftermath,” the statement said.

Attacks on ports in Odesa and the region
Russian occupiers are systematically attacking ports in the Odesa region with drones and missiles.
On the night of May 2, Russian occupation forces attacked port infrastructure in the city of Izmail, Odesa region. As reported by the city council, air defense forces responded effectively—most of the enemy UAVs were shot down. There was virtually no damage.
On the morning of April 14, the occupiers struck port infrastructure in the Odesa region.
The attack struck a civilian vessel flying the Liberian flag, which was traveling through the Ukrainian maritime corridor to one of the ports of Greater Odesa to load corn.
During an air raid alert, a drone struck the vessel, which was en route to the port. Damage was reported as a result of the strike.
On the night of April 8, Russian “Shahed” drones also launched a massive strike on the southern part of the Odesa region. As a result of that attack, civilian and port infrastructure were damaged.
Prior to that, a drone strike damaged one of the region’s ports—two civilian vessels flying the flags of Palau and Barbados were damaged, and port infrastructure was destroyed. The shelling caused fires.
