British boxer Tyson Fury defeated Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov in his first fight since returning to the ring, winning the bout at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
The former world champion fought his first bout in a year and a half, following his losses to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024. He lost his WBC heavyweight title to the Ukrainian and also lost the rematch by unanimous decision—these defeats marked the first losses of his professional career.
In early 2025, the British boxer announced his retirement, but repeatedly stated that he wanted to return and end his career “on his own terms.” It later emerged that Fury had announced in July his return to the ring for a trilogy fight with Usyk.
Ultimately, Fury staged a comeback fight against Russian boxer Arslanbek Makhmudov (21-2, 19 KOs), 36. The Russian last fought in October 2025, defeating Englishman Dave Allen by unanimous decision.
The difference in punches thrown was striking: Fury landed nearly four times as many effective punches as his opponent—199 to 59. In terms of accurate power punches, the Briton’s advantage was even greater—76 to 7.
The fight lasted the full 12 rounds, after which the judges unanimously declared Fury the winner: 120-108, 120-108, 119-109. This is his first win since October 2023 and the 35th of his career.
