Russia attacks Kyiv with shaheeds: debris falls and wounded

On the morning of January 1, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with attack drones. Air defense was activated in Kyiv and the region. In the capital, debris fell in several districts: Pechersk and Sviatoshynskyi. This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and KMVA, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, three people were injured, all in Pecherskyi district. Two of them had to be hospitalized.
First, it was reported that the debris fell on a non-residential building in the Pechersk district.
“According to preliminary information, the wreckage fell on a non-residential building,” KCIA said in a statement.
Later, Mayor Vitali Klitschko added that a residential building was also damaged and a fire broke out in an apartment.
“There is also information about the fall of debris on another non-residential building in the Pechersk district,” he said.

The top two floors of a residential building in Pechersk were partially destroyed. According to the State Emergency Service, in the Pechersk district, “there was a partial destruction of 4-6 floors of a residential building and a fire on 4-5 floors over an area of 70 square meters. One woman was rescued. The fire has been localized and elimination efforts are underway.




A fire also broke out on the roof of a nearby non-residential building over an area of 80 square meters. The fire is currently being localized. A total of 75 rescuers and 19 units of fire and rescue equipment are working at the scene.”
Later, the Kyiv City State Administration reported that debris fell in the Sviatoshynskyi district. A non-residential building caught fire and tram tracks were damaged. The SES added that garages caught fire.
