How Russia Attacked Ukraine

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, on the night of July 1, Russia carried out a combined air attack on Ukraine.

On the night of July 1 (starting at 6:00 p.m. on June 30), the enemy launched an attack using an Iskander-M ballistic missile-M from Crimea, an X-59 guided air-to-ground missile from the Black Sea, and 151 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerber, and Italmas types, as well as “Parody”-type decoy drones, from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk—Russian Federation, temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk Oblast; and Gvardeyskoye—temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 07:30, air defense forces shot down or neutralized one X-59 guided air-to-ground missile and 130 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerber, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country.

Impacts from 17 attack UAVs were recorded at 16 locations, and debris from downed UAVs was found at 4 locations. Information regarding the crash of a ballistic missile is being verified; no reports of damage or casualties have been received.

Is there a fuel shortage in the Dnipropetrovsk region?

The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration emphasized that, despite the attacks, there is no shortage of gasoline or diesel fuel in the region.

Gas station chains continue to supply fuel:

  • to private customers;
  • the agricultural sector;
  • industrial enterprises;
  • transport companies;
  • emergency and municipal services.

The damage to five stations did not lead to a systemic shutdown of the region’s fuel market.

This was reported by Suspilne Dnipro, citing the press service of the regional military administration.

Strikes were recorded, in particular, in:

  • Poltava Oblast;
