Intense, combined shelling of Ukrainian territory using cruise, ballistic, and hypersonic missiles has already become a daily reality for Ukrainians. Military expert Dmitry Snegirev made this statement in an interview with the YouTube channel "Komersant Ukrainian". The analyst revealed new intelligence data on the expansion of Russia’s military-industrial complex and predicted how many massive attacks Ukraine can expect each month.

Missile Production in Russia and Attack Capabilities

According to Snegirev, the Russian defense industry continues to manufacture long-range weapons.

“Moreover, according to information from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, there is the potential to scale up the production of weapons to 150 units per month,” the military analyst emphasized.

Based on this intelligence data, the expert predicted the possible frequency and intensity of future shelling:

“At least three [attacks per month]. 150 weapons per month. On average, up to 70 munitions per attack. If they reduce that to 50, then, accordingly, that would be three attacks per month,” noted Dmytro Snegirev.

Effectiveness of the Strikes

The expert emphasized that even with a reduction in the number of missiles per salvo, the threat remains critical due to the lack of specific air defense systems capable of intercepting ballistic and hypersonic missiles.

“Fifty weapons that cannot be shot down—that effectiveness will be more than sufficient,” the analyst concluded.

Dmytro Snegirev drew attention to the critical issue of countering the threat at its source. He posed a rhetorical question: why aren’t the facilities producing these weapons being destroyed?

As a reminder, according tothe Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russia recently resumed using North Korean KN-23 missiles to attack Ukraine. In particular, the occupiers struck the Dnipropetrovsk region on the night of July 30—for the first time since the summer of 2025. And on the night of August 11, a KN-23 missile struck Zaporizhzhia. In total, Pyongyang has supplied Moscow with at least 40 such missiles, though the enemy is currently launching them one at a time.

“Russia may be conducting missile tests following reports that the earlier KN-23s provided by North Korea were highly inaccurate, and that Russia has since been collaborating with North Korea to improve them,” the ISW notes.

In addition, a threat persists from other Russian allies. This was noted by Anatoliy Khrapchynskyi, director of defense industry development and a reserve Air Force officer.

“Iran actually possesses weapons capable of reaching Ukrainian territory. Moreover, Iran has some weapons capable of reaching Europe as well,” said Anatoliy Khrapchynskyi.

The expert added that it was precisely because of this threat that European countries had previously deployed missile defense systems capable of countering such ballistic targets.
