Storm warning issued in Ukraine: weather forecast for November 1

Dangerous weather conditions have been declared in Ukraine for November 1. Wind gusts will reach 15-20 m/s, except in the south and Transcarpathia. This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Today, wind gusts of 15-20 m/s are expected. This corresponds to the first, yellow, level of danger.
“Warning of dangerous meteorological phenomena. In the afternoon of November 1, wind gusts of 15-20 m/s are expected in Ukraine, except for the south and Transcarpathia. The hazard level is yellow,” the statement said.

The wind in most of the country is expected to be westerly, with an average speed of 7-12 m/s. In the afternoon, it will increase in most areas, except for the south of Ukraine and Transcarpathia, with gusts of up to 15-20 m/s. In such conditions, it is better to refrain from staying near old trees and unreliable structures in open areas.
The temperature at night will range from 3 to 8 degrees Celsius, while on the Black Sea coast it will be slightly warmer – up to 11 degrees. In the daytime, thermometers will show 11-16 degrees, which is a fairly comfortable temperature for late autumn.
Some regions will maintain higher temperatures: in the Carpathian region, Odesa, Mykolaiv and Crimea, the air will warm up to 19 degrees during the day. In the highlands of the Carpathians, the temperature will remain cooler, ranging from 7 to 12 degrees.

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, on November 2-4, the wind will slow down a bit and reach 7-12 m/s, i.e., the same as today. Although the forecast does not mention gusts of wind. And on Tuesday, the wind will weaken even more – up to 5-10 m/s. So, there is reason to hope that the Ukrainian flag will soon fly over Kyiv again.
As for the full weather forecast for November 1 in the Kyiv region, the Ukrainian Meteorological Center again predicts partly cloudy weather, no precipitation, westerly winds of 7-12 m/s, gusts of 15-20 m/s during the day. The temperature in the region at night will be 3-8° Celsius, during the day 11-16° Celsius; in Kyiv at night 6-8° Celsius, during the day 12-14° Celsius.
Meanwhile, the main flag of Ukraine has been lowered in the capital due to weather conditions, the Kyiv City State Administration reports.
The flagpole is almost 90 meters high and weighs 32 tons. The size of the flag cloth is 16 by 24 meters.
