The Civil Registry Office has been re-launched in the system of state registers: the ability to register marriages, births and other acts of civil status has been restored. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Ministry of Justice’s post on its official Facebook page.

“Today, another registry, the Civil Registry Office, which suffered from a large-scale Russian cyberattack, has been reopened. Civil registration departments have restored the possibility of entering information about birth, marriage, divorce, name change and death,” the statement reads.

All documents that people received in paper form during the temporary shutdown of the registry are now being entered into the electronic system by the Ministry of Justice. The received certificates remain valid, and their digital copies will soon appear in the registry.

In addition, the Ministry announced that it will resume data exchange with the following government agencies on January 5:

  • State Tax Service of Ukraine;
  • The Pension Fund of Ukraine;
  • Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Tomorrow, a number of online services available in the Diia administrative services application will also be launched. In particular, it will again be possible for parents of three children under the age of 18 to apply for a deferment from mobilization.

Earlier, three major notary registries resumed operation in Ukraine. They are now available:

  • The Unified Register of Powers of Attorney,
  • The Inheritance Register and
  • The Unified Register of Special Forms of Notarial Documents.
