Rower Lyudmila Luzan won her third gold medal at Euro 2026

Three-time Olympic medalist Lyudmyla Luzan of Ukraine brilliantly defended her European title on Saturday in her signature individual event—the 500-meter single canoe race.
In the final race, the Ukrainian posted a winning time of 2:00.822, confidently beating her closest rival from Italy by 2.525 seconds, reports "Komersant Ukrainian" citing “Ukrinform.”
For Lyudmila, this is already the 15th medal of her career at continental championships (7 gold, 6 silver, and 2 bronze).
As a reminder, yesterday at the European Championships currently underway in Portugal, Lyudmila claimed the top spot on the podium in the women’s single canoe 200-meter race, as well as together with Anastasia Rybachok in the 200-meter double canoe.
