Soldiers of the 95th separate airborne assault brigade told the story of the capture of a North Korean soldier who was remembered for his unbreakable desire to keep a sausage in his hand and a strange attempt to harm himself. The brigade posted the video on YouTube, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
The soldiers were holding the line during an enemy assault and used drones to notice that one of the bodies was moving. When the soldiers got closer, they saw a wounded man in a non-standard uniform who did not speak any understandable language.
“He did not respond to English, Ukrainian or Russian. He was making gestures… He had a grenade, a knife and something red in a pouch. We thought it was a lighter or something homemade, but he pulled out a sausage and said: “This is havaty, this is am-am.” We left him the sausage, because it was obvious that he was wounded, his jaw was bandaged and his arm was also tied up.”
– the Ukrainian soldier says in the video.
Realizing that the prisoner was not resisting, the paratroopers accompanied him to a certain point where the car was to arrive.
“When the car arrived, he hit his head on a pillar with all his might. He hit it very hard, just fell down and didn’t move. I think he did it on purpose so that we would come closer and he would try to grab a weapon or something. But we controlled everything, loaded him into the vehicle and passed him on,”
– says the paratrooper.
After being captured by the DPRK, the soldier even had the opportunity to watch Korean-language melodramas, the soldiers say.
