“Trump’s plan” threatens the whole of Europe, not just Ukraine, – political analyst Magda

In an interview for the YouTube channel "Komersant Ukrainian",political scientist and director of the Institute of World Policy Yevhen Magda said that Donald Trump’s 28-point plan poses a danger not only to Ukraine but also to any European state that borders Russia.
According to him, enshrining the loss of Ukrainian territories in such a document could signal to the Kremlin that a similar scenario is possible for other countries.
“Then the Baltic states will simply stand on their ears. And Poland as well – it also has a border with Russia. How will they feel in this situation?” Magda said.
The political scientist emphasized that Trump demonstrates indifference to security risks in Europe, acting under the slogan “this is not my war.”
In his opinion, the current US president sees the war as a problem of the European Union or the previous administration, while European partners continue to insist that the proposed points are unacceptable and that further work on political solutions is needed.
At the same time, Magda questioned the ability of European leaders to stop the progress of such a plan, as their political weight may not be enough to change Washington’s position.
