A well-known Ukrainian oil producer has opened a poultry farm

The Oliyar Group of Companies has opened a poultry farm in the Lviv region. This was reported by the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to the report, the first phase of construction has been completed at the facility, which currently houses over 100,000 birds.

“Poultry farming is a new line of business for the company. The poultry farm’s design capacity allows for the housing of up to 2.3 million birds, which will enable the production of over 1.7 million eggs per day. The complex is designed to house 20 poultry houses, as well as a sorting and packing facility and a warehouse for storing eggs,” the statement reads.

“The company has implemented a cage-free, multi-tiered aviary system that complies with European animal welfare standards. This approach ensures proper conditions for the birds, contributes to improving their physiological condition, and enhances product quality.”

Previously, Oliyar announced plans to build a poultry farm in the territory of the Shchyretska Village Council in the Lviv District, Lviv Region.

Oliyar (Lviv Oblast) produces sunflower oil at two of its own plants under the brands Mayola, Oliyar, Rodynna, and Soniashna.

The company exports sunflower oil to EU countries and the Middle East, as well as to Canada, the United States, and Africa. The ultimate beneficiary of Oliyar is Iryna Zalizna.
