The duo reunites: Ukrainian canoeists win World Cup gold

Lyudmila Luzan and Anastasia Rybachok won the World Cup stage in kayaking and canoeing in the Hungarian city of Szeged. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Canoe Federation, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

The Ukrainian canoe doubles team was unmatched in the Olympic 500-meter race.

The winners’ time was 1 minute 55.99 seconds. Second place went to the Chinese pair of Mengjia Sun and Yanan Ma (China) (0.09 seconds behind), and third place to the Hungarian duo of Agnes Anna Kish and Bianca Nagy (1.11 seconds behind).

For Luzan and Rybachok, this is their first medal in two years at the World Cup level. The Ukrainian duo last won a medal in 2024—a silver in Poznan.

It is worth noting that Lyudmila Luzan is a silver and bronze medalist from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and also has a silver from the 2024 Paris Games to her credit. She won both silver medals in tandem with Anastasia Rybachok.
