Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has agreed with U.S. President Donald Trump to meet during the G7 summit in Europe. Zelenskyy announced this in an evening video address on Sunday, June 14, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

“We have agreed on a meeting between us: in the coming days, there will be G7 meetings in Europe, and of course, Ukraine and our defense, as well as our prospects for achieving peace, will be among the main topics,” Zelenskyy said in the video address, recounting today’s phone call with Trump.

As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday, June 14. This was reported to journalists by the president’s communications adviser, Dmytro Lytvyn

According to him, the conversation was quite “substantive”; Zelenskyy wished Trump a happy birthday, and the leaders also discussed diplomatic issues.

According to media sources, the conversation between the leaders lasted at least 30 minutes. During the conversation, the Ukrainian president and his counterpart discussed many topics, including negotiations to end the war.

As a reminder, the G7 summit will begin tomorrow, June 15, in France and will last until June 17. Media outlets have already reported that both U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will participate in the working session.
