President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced an urgent audit of state-owned defense companies, and all data on violations will be sent to law enforcement agencies.

This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the President’s Telegram.

“We discussed with Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko the preparations for the meeting of the Government of Ukraine. Important decisions are planned. An audit of the activities of state-owned energy companies – all relevant financial transactions – is already underway,” Zelenskyy said.

According to him, a decision has also been prepared on a full audit of state defense companies and relevant contracts. The audit of the defense sector should be complete and as in-depth as possible.

“I have instructed the Prime Minister of Ukraine to report on the results of the defense audit on a weekly basis and to inform Ukrainian society on a weekly basis. All the data on the revealed violations will be sent to law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies,” the President of Ukraine added.

The Head of State added that he had instructed the Prime Minister to initiate an urgent audit of the ARMA and the SPFU before the Accounting Chamber.

“The government has a task, in addition to energy sector enterprises, to ensure the renewal of supervisory boards and the defense industry of Ukraine,” Zelenskyy summed up.

Earlier, NABU exposed a corruption scheme at Energoatom. The company’s counterparties were forced to pay kickbacks to maintain their supplier status and more. As a result, the government decided to dissolve the supervisory board of Energoatom.

At the same time, Svyrydenko announced an audit of the largest state-owned companies. The vice president of Energoatom, Jakob Hartmut, was also removed from office.
