The Cabinet of Ministers has published Resolution No. 768 regarding changes to salary calculations for service members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, special-purpose police officers, and foreign nationals serving in the Ukrainian military.

The document was published on the Government Portal, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

Officially, it is called an “experimental project” to be implemented over the next two years.

According to the resolution, additional compensation of up to 100,000 hryvnias per month, calculated proportionally to the time of participation, is established for military personnel who are directly involved in combat operations or in carrying out measures necessary to ensure Ukraine’s defense. In other words, this payment remains in effect.

  • 70,000 hryvnias – in connection with the performance of such tasks during combat operations at the distance of combat (special) tasks performed by a military unit of the first echelon of defense or offense up to and including a company strongpoint.

  • from 15,000 to 30,000 hryvnias on a pro-rata monthly basis, if military personnel hold instructor positions in military units;
  • 10,000 hryvnias on a pro-rata monthly basis, except for military personnel specified in the second paragraph of this subparagraph.

“For military personnel and police officers who are simultaneously entitled to receive additional compensation or a one-time payment under different conditions, such compensation shall be paid under the condition that provides for the higher amount,” the resolution states.

It is also emphasized that the total amount of payments may not exceed 460,000 hryvnias per month per military servicemember.

“This resolution takes effect on the day of its publication,” the resolution states.

Earlier, on June 12, the Ministry of Defense announced an increase in payments for servicemembers of the Defense Forces. Deputy Minister of Defense Mstislav Banik stated that the ministry would finance this from its own budget.

As a reminder, last week, on June 10, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted Law No. 15224, which introduces amendments to the 2026 State Budget. The document increases, in particular, expenditures for the security and defense sector.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also announced the salary increases. He noted that it is currently important to strengthen the financial stability of our defense and ensure the further transformation of the Ukrainian army.
