The Chernihiv Thermal Power Plant has temporarily suspended operations due to a massive attack by Russia

Following yet another massive Russian attack on the night of April 17, the Chernihiv Thermal Power Plant temporarily suspended operations. This was reported on the Chernihiv City Council’s website, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“The company’s staff has been working tirelessly and will continue to do so to ensure vital services reach your homes. Unfortunately, critical infrastructure facilities have once again been deliberately targeted, which has affected the stability of their operations,” the city council reported.
According to the statement, as of April 17, the hot water supply to consumers of the municipal utility “Teplokomunenergo” has been temporarily suspended.
According to the city council, emergency services, technical specialists, and company management are working at the facility. The exact timeline for restoration is currently being determined, as the extent of the damage requires a detailed technical assessment.
Shelling of the Chernihiv region
As a reminder, on the night of April 17, Russian occupiers once again attacked critical infrastructure in the Chernihiv region. The strike targeted facilities of Chernihivoblenergo JSC.
The Chernihiv region is under Russian shelling practically every day.
