The hryvnia strengthened against the euro and the zloty: exchange rates as of May 20

The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rates for Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The dollar remained unchanged, while the euro and the Polish zloty weakened. As a result, the hryvnia strengthened slightly against the euro and the zloty. This is according to data on the NBU website, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian"

The official exchange rate for the dollar on May 20 is 44.1530 UAH, for the euro — 51.2970 UAH, and for the Polish zloty — 12.0888 UAH.

Dollar exchange rate as of May 20

The official exchange rate for the US dollar on Wednesday is:

  • 1 US dollar — 44.15 UAH

Compared to the previous day, the dollar remained unchanged. This means that after the previous rise, the US currency has stabilized at over 44 UAH.

Euro exchange rate as of May 20

The European currency has depreciated. The official euro exchange rate is:

  • 1 euro — 51.29 UAH

Compared to the previous banking day, the euro lost 12 kopecks.

Zloty exchange rate as of May 20

The Polish zloty has also fallen in value. The NBU’s official exchange rate:

  • 1 Polish zloty — 12.08 UAH

The zloty fell by 3 kopecks.
