Koretsky Announced a Large-Scale Review of Ministries: The Government Is Preparing an Audit and Personnel Changes

23 July 00:48

Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky has instructed all ministries to conduct a rapid analysis of their activities and prepare proposals for optimizing their operations. If necessary, the State Audit Service of Ukraine may be involved in the reviews, and the effectiveness of commissions, committees, and coordinating bodies may also be assessed.

Serhiy Koretskyi announced this in a special post on his Telegram channel, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

Ministries must conduct a rapid analysis by July 27

According to the prime minister, each ministry must prepare proposals for conducting a comprehensive rapid analysis by July 27.

The goal of the review is to obtain an objective picture of the work of central executive bodies and assess their effectiveness.

The analysis will examine:

  • implementation of budget programs;
  • the implementation of sustainability plans;
  • the status of government task implementation;
  • the use of state resources;
  • other key areas of ministry activity.

The State Audit Service may be involved in the audits

The Prime Minister emphasized that, if necessary, the State Audit Service of Ukraine will be involved in evaluating the work of individual agencies.

According to him, the audit will help verify the effectiveness of state programs and the use of budget funds.

This approach is intended to ensure transparency in the work of government agencies and the timely identification of problem areas.

The government will review the work of commissions and coordinating bodies

In addition to a rapid analysis of activities, the Cabinet of Ministers is launching a review of the work of auxiliary bodies attached to ministries.

Within two weeks, all agencies must submit proposals regarding:

  • updating the composition of commissions;
  • restructuring working groups;
  • reviewing the activities of coordination centers;
  • eliminating structures that are no longer relevant.

According to Koretsky, the goal of these changes is to improve the efficiency of public administration and eliminate overlapping functions.
