Gray became the most popular color among new passenger cars in Ukraine in the first quarter of 2026. Cars in this color accounted for 36% of all new registrations. This was reported by Ukravtoprom, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
These figures indicate that Ukrainian buyers continue to prefer subdued and practical shades, while bright colors remain more of a niche choice. The top five most popular colors also included white, black, green, and blue.
Which color of new cars became the most popular in Ukraine
Gray was the most in-demand color on the Ukrainian new passenger car market in the first quarter of 2026.
It accounted for 36% of all initial registrations of new cars. Thus, more than a third of buyers chose gray cars.
The most popular model among gray cars was the Toyota RAV4. It was this model that secured gray’s top spot in market popularity.
Which car colors took second and third place
White took second place among the most popular colors for new passenger cars in Ukraine.
White cars accounted for 28% of all new car sales. Ukrainians most often bought the Renault Duster in white.
Black came in third in popularity. It was chosen by 16% of new car buyers. The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado was the leader among black cars.
What other colors made it into the top 5
In addition to gray, white, and black, green and blue also made it into the top five most popular colors for new cars in Ukraine.
Green was chosen by 7% of buyers. The most popular model in this category was once again the Renault Duster.
Blue cars accounted for 5% of all initial registrations. The Suzuki SX4 was the most frequently registered model in blue.

Based on the results of the first quarter of 2026, the top five most popular colors for new passenger cars are as follows:
