New approaches to assessing agricultural land: the government explains what factors will be taken into account

The government has approved changes to the methodology that will allow for a more accurate assessment of land, taking into account climate change and the consequences of the Russians’ destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“We are updating approaches to the normative monetary valuation of agricultural land to support farmers, particularly in frontline territories,” Svyrydenko wrote.
As the official explained, this primarily concerns the southern regions—Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions.
“The assessment will now take into account the current level of moisture supply based on hydrometeorological data, as well as the impact of irrigation loss. This will ensure a more accurate and fair valuation of land, on which the tax burden and the economic viability of farmers’ operations directly depend,” the prime minister said.
In addition, the government announced that access to information will be simplified. Landowners and users will be able to obtain extracts with specific dates, and the documents themselves will contain more details about the plot’s characteristics and the components of the calculation—providing a clear understanding of how the valuation is determined.
