The number of Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil infrastructure has reached its highest level since December 2025, causing oil refining to drop to 4.69 million barrels per day—the lowest level since December 2009. This was reported by Bloomberg, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“According to statements from the parties, at least 21 Ukrainian attacks were carried out in April against Russian oil refineries, maritime facilities—including export terminals—and pipeline infrastructure. At least nine oil refineries were targeted in the raids—five of which completely or partially halted production,” the report states.
Strategy of repeated strikes on Russian oil refineries
In April, Ukraine returned to a strategy of launching repeated strikes against Russian oil refineries—an approach that inflicts maximum damage and hinders rapid repairs.
