One of Wildberries’ major distribution centers near Voronezh has been attacked: what is known about the facility housing 90 million items

In the Voronezh Region of the Russian Federation, large-scale fires broke out at Wildberries logistics facilities on the night of August 11. The total area affected by the fires at the two warehouses reached 36,000 square meters. This is a large distribution complex that became fully operational less than a year ago and was designed to store over 90 million items.
Russian local authorities and media outlets reported the fires. Wildberries’ press service confirmed the incident at its logistics facilities and the evacuation of employees, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to reports from the Russian side, Voronezh and several districts in the region were attacked by drones overnight.
The fires at the Wildberries warehouses spread across 36,000 square meters
Alexander Gusev, governor of the Voronezh region, stated that 15 drones were allegedly shot down over Voronezh and five districts in the region.
At the same time, Russian authorities confirmed fires at two warehouses belonging to a major company.
At one facility, the fire covered 16,000 square meters; at the other, about 20,000 square meters. Thus, the total area affected by the fires was at least 36,000 square meters.
Wildberries, for its part, confirmed the evacuation of personnel from logistics facilities in the Voronezh region.
Russian sources also reported damage to three trucks and a passenger car. Local authorities reported one fatality and several injuries as a result of the nighttime attack.
What is known about the attacked Wildberries complex
The scale of the logistics center near Voronezh is particularly noteworthy.
The Wildberries distribution complex in the Novousmansky District of the Voronezh region was fully opened in November 2025.
Its total area is approximately 152,900 square meters.
According to publicly available data, the complex’s capacity allowed it to store more than 90 million units of goods at any given time.
The investment in the creation of the logistics hub was estimated at approximately 11 billion rubles.
Thus, this is not a small regional warehouse, but a large distribution facility for the Russian marketplace.

Wildberries announced the evacuation of employees
The company confirmed that staff at its logistics facilities had been evacuated.
Later, Russian media, citing Wildberries, reported that the fires at the facilities had been extinguished. The company also claims that a significant portion of the goods was saved.
At the same time, the final extent of the material damage has not yet been publicly determined.
The attacks on Wildberries’ logistics have become a separate issue for Russian businesses
The incident near Voronezh was yet another blow to the marketplace’s logistics infrastructure in recent times.
Previously, there were reports of fires and damage to Wildberries’ warehouses in other Russian regions.
This is already creating problems not only for the marketplace itself but also for sellers whose goods are stored in its warehouses. Against the backdrop of these losses, Russian regulators and banks have discussed the possibility of easing financial pressure on entrepreneurs who have lost their goods.
However, estimates of the total losses incurred by Wildberries and its sellers, as reported by various media outlets, vary significantly, so it is too early to speak of a final figure for the losses.
Attacks were also reported in other regions of Russia
On the night of August 11, reports of drones and fires came not only from the Voronezh region.
In particular, Russian authorities reported a drone attack on the Rostov region and drones that were allegedly heading toward Moscow.
Separately, Russian Telegram channels and OSINT sources reported fires at oil refineries in the Khabarovsk Krai and Orsk.
