Russian attack destroyed a warehouse and part of the production facilities of the Ukrainian brand keep: what is known

3 June 03:48

As a result of the Russian shelling of Kyiv on the night of June 2, the Ukrainian brand of backpacks, bags, and accessories, keep, lost its office, warehouse, and part of its production facilities. The brand’s team announced this on its Instagram page and on the company’s website, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

The keep brand officially announced that during the attack on Kyiv, Russia struck its facilities. The team reported the loss of a warehouse, an office, and several production workshops.

According to the brand’s founder, not only the premises but also key production resources were destroyed. This includes components, materials for the new collection, and finished products that were stored in the warehouse.

Brand founder Mykola Serezitinov told DTF Magazine that the company lost its component warehouse, all materials for the new collection produced over the course of the year, as well as warehouses of finished products along with packaging equipment.

According to him, the brand’s products remained in the destroyed premises, mixed with concrete and bricks.

At the same time, the founder emphasized that the team is not giving up on launching the new collection, although the brand’s product range will be reduced for a while.

Keep does not plan to restore the damaged premises, as this option is considered unrealistic due to the partial collapse of the building.

What’s next for the brand

After the incident, keep began looking for new office and production space.

In addition, the brand plans to launch the sale of certificates for its products to garner customer support and sustain the business following the loss of its facilities.

Before the attack, the team had planned to open a new space on June 1, but was unable to do so for reasons unrelated to the shelling. The opening has now been postponed indefinitely.

The story of keep is yet another example of how Russian strikes are hitting not only the energy sector or residential neighborhoods, but also small and medium-sized Ukrainian businesses.

On the night of June 2, Russia attacked Ukraine with 73 missiles and 656 drones, and Kyiv became one of the main targets of the strike. As a result of the attack, people were killed in the capital, dozens of residents were injured, and civilian facilities were damaged.
