Ukraine currently does not have its own technology for manufacturing modern microchips, and establishing such a production facility would require tens of billions of dollars in investment and many years of training for specialists. This was stated by cybersecurity expert Konstantin Korsun in an interview with the YouTube channel "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to him, the lack of a modern microelectronics industry is one of the main factors limiting Ukraine’s ability to produce high-tech weapons.

“We don’t have the technology to produce microchips. For example, Taiwan’s TSMC is effectively a near-monopolist in the production of chips using a 2–3-nanometer manufacturing process,” he said.

Korsun emphasized that global production of advanced microchips is effectively concentrated in just a few companies, and building a similar production facility “from scratch” is an extremely expensive and time-consuming process.
