Temperatures in Ukraine will reach 30°: where to expect rain and thunderstorms

On Thursday, May 7, Ukraine will experience summer-like warmth. In most regions, daytime temperatures will rise to 25–30°C. Precipitation is generally not expected, though brief showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible in western regions. This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

According to forecasters, it will be warmest in the central, northern, and parts of the eastern regions, while temperatures in the south and southeast will be slightly lower.

What will the weather be like on May 7?

On Thursday, variable cloudiness is expected across Ukraine. Most regions will see a dry day.

The exception will be the western regions, where short-lived rains and thunderstorms in some areas are possible during the day.

Winds are also expected to pick up in the west—gusts may reach 15–20 m/s.

Winds in Ukraine will be predominantly southwesterly, with speeds of 7–12 m/s.

In the western part of the country, gusts of 15–20 m/s are expected in some areas during the day. Because of this, sudden weather changes are possible during thunderstorms, so residents of western regions should pay close attention to weather forecasts.

Weather in Kyiv and the Kyiv region

No precipitation is expected in Kyiv and the Kyiv region on May 7. The day will be warm and dry.

Across the region, nighttime temperatures will range from 10–15°C, and daytime temperatures from 25–30°C.

In Kyiv, temperatures are forecast to be 13–15° at night and 27–29° during the day. The wind will be from the southwest, 7–12 m/s.

Fire hazard persists

In most regions of Ukraine, an elevated fire hazard will persist on May 7. The reason is warm, dry weather, wind, and the absence of precipitation in most regions.

Under these conditions, you should not burn dry grass, leave fires unattended, or build campfires near forests, fields, and dry vegetation.
