“Ukrzaliznytsia” is launching a new regional train: where will it go?
17 June 12:37
Starting June 19, Ukrzaliznytsia will launch a new regional train service between Dnipro and Kharkiv. This was announced by Ukrzaliznytsia, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“We are improving connections between Ukraine’s regional centers and bringing back this important route in a revamped format,” the statement reads.
From now on, passengers can travel from Dnipro to Kharkiv and back on the new regional Dnipro–Kharkiv–Dnipro route.
“A four-hour trip from Dnipro to Kharkiv, a few hours to run your errands, and a return trip on the same day—the advantages are obvious,” writes Ukrzaliznytsia.
Train No. 854 will depart from Dnipro at 08:17 and arrive in Kharkiv at 12:29. On the return trip, Train No. 853 will depart from Kharkiv on the same day at 15:30, arriving in Dnipro at 19:41.
The route includes the following stops: Synelnykove-2, Pavlohrad-1, Lozova, Zlatopil, Merefa, and Kharkiv.
“Tickets for trains No. 854 Dnipro–Kharkiv and No. 853 Kharkiv–Dnipro are now available in the UZ app under the ‘Long-Distance’ section,” the announcement states.

“Starting June 28, we are introducing a new daily high-speed ‘Intercity’ train No. 753/754 Dnipro–Odesa. This is the first regular ‘Intercity’ high-speed train in the history of independent Ukraine to connect Dnipro and Odesa,” the statement reads.
Also, starting June 27, a new daily high-speed “Intercity” train No. 765/766 between Kyiv and Odesa will begin service.
In addition, Ukrzaliznytsia previously announced that for the summer season, it has added 12 new trips, significantly increased train speeds, extended four routes to the mountains, and made eight trains that previously ran every other day now run daily.
Ukrzaliznytsia emphasizes that passengers will have access to more trains and more seats on the most popular routes during the summer season.
