Enemy strike on warehouses in the Kyiv region: Food shortages have arisen at “Silpo” and “Fora”
8 August 17:15
The “Silpo” and “Fora” supermarkets, which are part of the Fozzy Group chain, have experienced problems with food supplies. Store shelves are empty of various types of goods. Disruptions in the retail chains’ operations were caused by a massive strike on Russian warehouses in the Kyiv region on August 5, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Fora emphasizes that all stores are operating as usual. At the same time, representatives of the chain explained that important warehouses containing products were destroyed as a result of the Russian attacks. In response to numerous posts by Threads users, a representative of “Fora” posted an official comment explaining the situation.
“We are currently in a very difficult situation: key product warehouses were destroyed as a result of the Russian attack. Because of this, stores may temporarily have a significantly smaller selection of goods, and certain items may be out of stock,” the statement reads.
At the same time, consumers were urged not to worry, as the company is doing everything possible to quickly reorganize its supply chains. The situation will stabilize in the near future, and supermarkets will once again be stocked with customers’ favorite products.

A full recovery will take time, but work is continuing nonstop, and the entire operations team is doing its utmost to resolve logistical challenges. Therefore, the shortage of certain products is temporary.
Silpo supermarkets have warned shoppers about disruptions in the supply of goods and products.
On Threads, shoppers report that some stores have even posted notices to this effect. However, the company assures customers that the shelves will soon be stocked with products again.
“Due to the consequences of the enemy’s attack on our logistics infrastructure, some goods are taking longer to deliver,” the retail chain’s announcement states.
As a reminder, on the night of August 5, the Russian military carried out a massive strike on the Kyiv region, killing at least 16 people. The occupiers attacked the warehouses and production facilities of Ukrainian manufacturers. In particular, facilities belonging to “Epicenter,” “Rozetka,” “Silpo,” “PUMA,” and others were destroyed.
