According to new reports, Apple does not plan to release a separate anniversary iPhone model for the line’s 20th anniversary in 2027, but will instead focus on a complete redesign of the iPhone Pro and Pro Max series. As reported by 9to5Mac, this was announced by analyst Jeff Pu, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Previously, it was expected that the company would unveil a special iPhone with unique features for the anniversary, including a display curved on all four sides and virtually no bezels. The possibility of a minimal camera cutout or the complete elimination of visible elements on the screen was also discussed.
However, according to the new report, the innovations will be implemented specifically in the Pro models of the main lineup. The devices are expected to feature a screen with rounded edges on all four sides and further advancements in under-display camera technology.
This information aligns with earlier reports from Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman. He wrote that Apple is developing “bold Pro models” with a high proportion of glass in the body materials.
