Amid regular enemy attacks on energy, retail, and logistics infrastructure, Ukrainian businesses are developing new ways to ensure uninterrupted operations. One example of this is the launch of a joint pilot project between Ukrposhta and the Citrus chain to sell electronics via printed catalogs.

This was announced by Ukrposhta CEO Ihor Smilianskyi, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

“I am delighted that, together with Citrus, we are launching a pilot project featuring catalog-based sales, which includes about 140 small and medium-sized items—smartphones, headphones, small household appliances, accessories, and other popular goods,” Smiliansky wrote.

According to him, the new initiative is aimed primarily at residents of rural communities and small towns where there are no specialty electronics stores. They will be the first to be able to order household essentials directly at post offices.

Delivery Times and Costs

As Smiliansky noted, partner companies have simplified logistics for customers as much as possible, and now, once availability is confirmed, selected orders will be delivered to a “Ukrposhta” branch within 2–5 business days. The cost of logistics services has also been made as affordable as possible: it is a flat rate of just 50 hryvnias per shipment, regardless of the size of the item from the catalog.

As noted by “Ukrposhta,” the company continues to adapt to challenging conditions, and partnering with retail market leaders is an important step toward providing Ukrainians with essential appliances even in the most remote corners of the country.

“The partnership with ‘Citrus’ is an example of how Ukrposhta’s critical social infrastructure is becoming a new platform for business and providing equal access not only to services but also to goods, ” Ukrposhta notes .

The “Citrus” chain

In 2025, Artur Hatunok, owner of the Yabluka and networks, acquired “Citrus” from Hryhorii Topal. As of March 2026, the national electronics chain “Citrus” comprised 48 stores.

Artem Shevchenko became CEO of “Citrus” in February 2026. He cited the integration of online and offline channels into an omnichannel model, the introduction of the CPO role, and the transition to a unified digital infrastructure based on Google Workspace as his first priorities. Among the plans are to redesign the “Citrus” mobile app to strengthen e-commerce, increase market share from 4–5%, and expand the number of SKUs and the product range from 19,000 items to 150,000.

Revenue for the company’s key legal entity, “Importmax,” fell by 19% in 2025 to 4 billion UAH due to the repayment of old debts. According to Shevchenko, the new team has already settled about 90% of its obligations to suppliers.

“Ukrposhta” is the national postal operator with over 4,600 stationary and 1,900 mobile branches, covering approximately 26,000 service points and employing about 25,000 workers.

Following the completion of the automation of sorting processes, the company is expanding its network of parcel lockers, partner pickup points, and new service formats at its branches.
