Due to the Russian attack, the “Tabaki” border crossing on the border with Moldova has suspended operations

As a result of a nighttime attack by the Russian Federation, the “Tabaki” international border crossing on the border with Moldova was damaged, leading to the current suspension of the passage of people and vehicles, according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".

“In the Odesa region, the ‘Tabaky’ border crossing was damaged as a result of an enemy attack. On the night of August 21, the enemy attacked the Bolhrad and Izmail districts of the Odesa region with ‘suicide drones,’” the statement reads.

As a result of the attack, infrastructure at the “Tabaky” international border crossing on the border with Moldova was hit. Buildings and structures at the border crossing were damaged. Fires that broke out at the facilities were contained by employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine noted that, at this time, no individuals or vehicles are being allowed through the “Tabaky” checkpoint. The Moldovan side has been informed of the situation.

Traffic is being rerouted to other border crossing points. Citizens are urged to take this information into account when planning their trips.

On the night of August 20, in the Odesa region, Russian drones also struck a border crossing point with Moldova. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this, though he did not specify which crossing point was targeted in that attack.
