Information regarding alleged “investigations” into Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska, which is being spread by Russian propaganda, is untrue, according to a statement from the press service of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".

“NABU and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) draw attention to the spread in Russian and pro-Russian media of yet another wave of disinformation regarding alleged ‘investigations’ into the wife of the President of Ukraine. This information is not true,” the statement reads.

It is reported that NABU and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office are not conducting any procedural actions mentioned in the aforementioned disinformation.

“Such disinformation campaigns are part of a systematic disinformation campaign by the aggressor state aimed at discrediting Ukrainian institutions, undermining trust in anti-corruption bodies, destabilizing the socio-political situation, and weakening Ukraine’s unity amid a full-scale war,” NABU explained.

Citizens and media representatives were urged to verify information, use official sources, and not contribute to the spread of manipulations and fake news used by the Russian Federation as part of its information war against Ukraine.

On May 17, 2026, Russian media and anonymous Telegram channels began spreading claims that NABU and the SAPO were allegedly “concluding an investigation against Zelenskyy’s wife” and “preparing her arrest.”
