Four ballistic missiles in an hour: Roshen’s former office destroyed in Kyiv
7 July 00:56
During yet another massive missile attack on Kyiv, Russian occupation forces completely destroyed the former Roshen office building. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing a statement by Ukraine’s fifth president, Petro Poroshenko.
Four ballistic missiles struck the building
According to Petro Poroshenko, during the massive shelling, Russian forces fired 68 missiles at Kyiv, a significant portion of which were ballistic missiles.
He said that four ballistic missiles were fired at the old Roshen office alone within the span of one hour, striking the central part of the building.
As a result of the strike, the building was completely destroyed.
Poroshenko noted that the most important thing is that no one was inside the building at the time of the attack, so there were no fatalities or injuries.
Poroshenko: Russia is targeting civilian infrastructure
The fifth president emphasized that during the massive attack, Russian troops struck residential neighborhoods and civilian targets in the capital.
According to him, such attacks are intended to cause maximum damage to civilian infrastructure and intimidate the population.

Strengthening air defense remains a priority
Commenting on the consequences of the shelling, Petro Poroshenko stated that one of Ukraine’s main tasks remains the further strengthening of its air defense system.
He recalled that as far back as 2014, he helped restore Kyiv’s air defense system, and now Ukrainian cities need even more modern means of protection against ballistic missiles.
Russia uses reconnaissance drones before strikes
Poroshenko also drew attention to a change in the tactics of Russian forces.
According to him, prior to ballistic missile strikes, Russia actively employs reconnaissance drones that:
- pinpoint target coordinates;
- adjust the trajectory of upcoming strikes;
- determine the best time to attack.
Ukrainian “Ai-Petri” electronic warfare systems are being used to counter these drones.
According to Poroshenko, another batch of these systems has already been delivered to units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Territorial Defense Forces, and the National Guard of Ukraine, which are tasked with defending the airspace over Kyiv.
This is not the first time Roshen has suffered losses due to Russian attacks
This is not the first time Roshen facilities have been targeted by Russian attacks.
Previously, Russian shelling damaged the company’s logistics center in Yahotyn, Kyiv Oblast, and destroyed a finished goods warehouse. According to preliminary estimates, the losses at that time could have exceeded $20 million.
