Russia is launching massive attacks on gas stations in Ukraine: Poltava, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions are under attack

On July 3, Russian occupation forces carried out a series of strikes on gas stations in several regions of Ukraine. Fuel infrastructure in the Poltava, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions came under attack. Serhiy Kuyun, director of the A-95 consulting group, also reported on the series of strikes, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
The strikes resulted in injuries and damage to vehicles, equipment, and gas station buildings. Fires broke out at some of the facilities.
The highest number of attacks during the day was officially recorded in the Lubny District of the Poltava region.
Russia attacked several gas stations in the Poltava region
During an air raid alert, a Russian drone attacked a gas station in the Lubenskyi district.
According to Vitalii Dyakivnych, head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, the strike damaged:
- gas station equipment;
- the building’s windows;
- a car;
- the area near the impact site.
The number of casualties has risen to six people. Among them is a volunteer, a Swedish citizen. Medical personnel were assessing their condition.
Following the first strike in the Lubenskyi district, another strike by a Russian drone was recorded.
This time, the drone struck a car parked near a gas station.
According to preliminary data from regional authorities, no one was injured during this incident.
Law enforcement officers and rescue workers inspected the site of the attack and documented the damage.
On the evening of July 3, Russian forces launched new strikes on fuel infrastructure in the Poltava region.
Two more gas stations in the Lubny district were attacked by drones.
According to preliminary information, no reports of injuries were received by emergency services during these strikes.
Thus, regional authorities have officially confirmed attacks on at least three gas stations in the Lubny district within a single day.
Kuyun reported four gas stations attacked near Pyriatyn
Serhiy Kuyun, director of the “A-95” consulting group, reported that Russian troops attacked several gas stations at once in the Pyriatyn area, near the border between Poltava and Kyiv regions.
According to him, three gas stations were initially targeted, and later it became known that another station south of the city had also been attacked.
In Sumy, a jet-powered drone destroyed a gas station
On the morning of July 3, a Russian jet-powered drone struck a gas station in the Zarichne district of Sumy.
The strike occurred around 8:35 a.m. Initially, city authorities reported four injured station employees, but the number of casualties later rose to seven.
According to updated information:
- three people were hospitalized;
- two were transferred to outpatient care;
- two others were undergoing medical examinations.
Three gas station employees were in serious condition. The gas station sustained significant damage.
Gas stations in Sumy Oblast were attacked four times
According to Sumy regional authorities, Russian troops have attacked gas stations in the region at least four times since the start of the day.
In addition to the strike on the gas station in Sumy, an attack on a gas station in the Nedryhailiv community was reported. A woman was injured there.
Russia regularly uses drones, guided bombs, and other weapons against the Sumy region near the border.
Due to the constant attacks, some communities in the region are considering setting up a network of mobile fuel sales points.
Drone Strikes Gas Station in Kharkiv
In Kharkiv, a Russian drone attacked a gas station in the city’s Kyivskyi district.
The drone struck a fuel dispenser, causing a fire to break out at the gas station.
Three people inside a car were injured as a result of the strike:
- a 37-year-old man;
- a 36-year-old woman;
- a 7-year-old girl.
They were hospitalized. The gas station’s facade, a fuel pump, and the car were also damaged.
Gas stations were also attacked in the Dnipropetrovsk region
A series of strikes on fuel infrastructure began even before the attacks on July 3.
On the night of July 1, Russian troops attacked five gas stations in the Dniprovskyi District of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
As a result of the strikes:
- one person was killed;
- three people were injured;
- fires broke out at the facilities;
- equipment was damaged.
Another attack on a gas station occurred on July 3 in the Sofiivska community of the Kryvyi Rih district. One person was killed there, and five were injured.
