The Kremlin is preparing new attacks: Putin made an alarming statement
4 July 03:51
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has announced his intention to continue massive strikes against Ukraine. According to him, the attacks should target facilities of the military-industrial complex and the infrastructure that supports its operations.
The Kremlin leader made this statement during a visit to an auxiliary command post of the Russian Federation’s combined arms group, according to "Komersant Ukrainian", citing Russian state media.
Putin announced the continuation of strikes on Ukraine
During his speech, the Russian leader emphasized that the campaign of massive strikes must continue.
“The mission of massive, coordinated strikes against the infrastructure of Ukraine’s military-industrial complex and the facilities that support its operations must continue,” Putin said.
In this way, the Kremlin has effectively confirmed its intention to continue striking Ukrainian infrastructure that Russia considers to be linked to the defense sector.
The Kremlin again threatened to “expand the security zone”
In addition, Putin repeated his rhetoric about the so-called “security zone.” He stated that Russia could allegedly expand it in response to Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory.
The Kremlin has used similar statements in the past to justify military actions and offensive operations on certain sectors of the front.
Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly emphasized that the Defense Forces are striking exclusively military targets on Russian territory that are being used to wage war against Ukraine.
Russia continues its airstrikes
Putin’s statement came amid regular, massive Russian attacks using strike drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. The main targets of Russian strikes remain energy, transportation, and other critical infrastructure, as well as civilian facilities in Ukrainian cities.
The Ukrainian Air Force regularly reports the destruction of a significant portion of aerial targets; however, individual missiles and drones continue to cause destruction and result in civilian casualties.
