Up to 60,000 UAH per month: How much do agricultural workers earn in Ukraine?

Salaries for workers in agriculture and forestry have risen significantly in Ukraine. In July 2026, the median salary in the agricultural sector was 32,500 UAH, compared to 22,000 UAH a year ago. Thus, the figure rose by nearly 48% over the course of a year. This is according to data from OLX Robota, which analyzed current job openings in the agricultural sector and compared wage levels with those from the same period in 2025, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".

Who Earns the Most in the Agricultural Sector

Among the professions analyzed, combine operators receive the highest salaries— up to 60,000 UAH per month, based on the median figure.

Next in the ranking:

  • forest rangers— 48,750 UAH;
  • seasonal workers and berry pickers— 37,500 UAH;
  • tractor drivers— 36,250 UAH;
  • sawmill workers and sawyers— 33,750 UAH;
  • agronomists – 31,500 UAH;
  • gardeners and machinery operators—about 30,000 UAH;
  • laborers and general workers— 23,500 UAH;
  • farmers – 21,500 UAH.

The wages of seasonal workers and berry pickers saw the sharpest increase over the past year . While the median wage for them was 12,125 UAH in 2025, this year it has reached 37,500 UAH—more than triple the previous figure.

The median salary for sawmill workers and lumber cutters has increased by nearly 2.7 times—from 12,500 UAH to 33,750 UAH.

At the same time, tractor operators’ salaries rose by 45% over the year —from 25,000 UAH to 36,250 UAH. General laborers began receiving, on average, 18% more, while foresters saw a 15% increase.

Where Are Employers Hiring the Most?

Among the regions analyzed, employers posted the largest number of job openings in the agricultural sector in the Kyiv region—75.

There are 33 vacancies each in the Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions. The Odesa region has 29 vacancies, and the Zhytomyr region has 21.

Another 17 job openings are in the Chernihiv region, 16 in the Sumy region, 14 in the Cherkasy region, and 12 in the Kharkiv region.

The rise in salaries in the agricultural sector is primarily due to competition among employers for workers. This is most evident in seasonal jobs and specialties that require specific practical skills.
