Since the program’s inception, hundreds of farms have already modernized their production or launched new projects. It enables farmers to develop competitive Ukrainian production,” noted Taras Vysotsky, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine.

It was reported that April frosts caused significant damage to orchards in Ukraine, which could lead to a shortage of popular fruits such as cherries and sweet cherries. Approximately 45–55% of the sweet cherry crop was lost due to spring frosts. As for cherries, losses are estimated at 35–50%.

Earlier, orchardists stated that two powerful waves of frost could leave most owners of sweet cherry, sour cherry, apricot, and peach orchards without a harvest.
