Russians struck a service station in the Kharkiv region: 4 people were killed and 16 were injured

On the morning of May 4, Russian occupation forces launched a missile strike on the town of Merefa in the Kharkiv region. A maintenance station was hit, and residential buildings, shops, and cars were also damaged; four people were killed and 16 others were injured. Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported on the consequences of the attack, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

According to him, the strike occurred around 10:00 a.m., and rescue workers, medical personnel, and law enforcement officers continue to work at the scene.

What happened in Merefa

Russian forces struck Merefa in the Kharkiv region on the morning of May 4. According to preliminary information, it was a missile strike.

The main impact was recorded in the area of a service station. A fire broke out after the strike, which rescuers have already extinguished.

How many people were killed and injured

According to updated data from the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, four people were killed as a result of the strike on Merefa.

Among the dead:

  • a 50-year-old man;
  • a 63-year-old man;
  • a 41-year-old woman;
  • a 52-year-old woman.

Another 16 people were injured. They are receiving necessary medical care.

Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, reported that the death toll has risen following the strike.

“A 50-year-old man, a 63-year-old man, a 41-year-old woman, and a 52-year-old woman were killed,” Synyegubov said.

Earlier, he reported that a service station had been damaged following the strike on Merefa, and later provided updated details on the damage and casualties.

The fire following the strike was extinguished

A fire broke out after the strike on Merefa. According to reports citing the head of the Regional Military Administration, the fire had been extinguished by 10:30 a.m.

All relevant services continue to work at the site.

Rescue workers are clearing debris, medics are assisting the wounded, and law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of yet another Russian strike on civilian infrastructure.
